Description

A rarer southern Italian variety worth seeking out. A stylish version of this ancient Italian.Just the perfect pasta wine. Beguiling scents and layers of flavours with firm granular tannins. Sounds bizarre but flavours of Sarsaparilla! Yes, sarsaparilla and some “cola” notes with crushed cherries and Christmas pudding. Soft full fruits with that “cola” fruit sweetness coming through. Lovely sour cherries with a hint of fruit compote sweetness. Some hints of black olives give the wine some base notes. Fine but firm tannins cradle the fruit and a little tingle of acidity keeps the package fresh.
