Sourced from the Bird family Vineyard in the Wrattonbully region, South Eastern South Australia. The fruit was chilled and transported to Clare for processing. The vineyard features classic Terra Rossa soils and is a low cropping premium site.

Dried herbs, cooked spices with hints of plum.
Spicy fruit coffee bean, cocoa with hints of dark bitter chocolate, supple tannins are a hallmark of the variety. Being a cool climate Wrattonbully red sees a regional eucalypt tinge as well.
