For Love Fiano

For Love Fiano

2022 Fiano
Wrattonbully, South Australia

This is our sixth vintage release of this popular Italian varietal. Sourced from the cool climes of the deep south of South Australia's Wrattonbully this wine has a perfume of white flowers and lemon rind. Beautiful flavours of quince, lemon and citrus with bright crisp acidity. Delicious now with fresh seafood or put a couple of bottles away for a more nutty take on Fiano.

Description

Fiano is increasingly becoming a favourite with Aussie consumers. This Italian varietal loves our weather maintaining good natural acidity in warm conditions. It delivers a wide range of styles depending where it grows and how it's handled in the winery. Our version is cool climate grown producing a tighter finer version with added complexity and texture from 15% being fermented in barrel and freshness maintained with the majority of the juice cool fermented in tank then the two components blended as finished wine. Enjoy while young and fresh but don't be afraid to salt several bottles away for the future. This variety is known for it's longevity in it's Italian homeland and our Aussie version will also cellar comfortably for 6 years or so.
