Sourced from a single block situated in the warmer southern end of the famous Watervale sub region of the Clare Valley SA. Lifted white flower perfume with fresh tropical flavours. Finishes clean, crisp and dry with lovely length. Just a cracker value Rizza and just delicious with fish and chips down on the beach.

The 2020 vintage saw the continuing dry conditions experienced over the previous two years. With yields down 30% - 70% in most vineyards and with warm to hot conditions forecast mid vintage most of the fruit was harvested early to capture good natural acidity. The resulting Rieslings have lovely perfume, natural acidity and extremely delicate fruit flavours. This wine was produced from 100% clean racked free run juice, no pressings, fermented at low temperatures to capture the delicate fruit flavours. Fermented completely dry less than 2 GRS. No added acid. The Clare Valley was spared the terrible bushfires that devastated the Adelaide Hills and Kangaroo Island and while there was some smoke drift to the north of South Australia the Clare Valley had no smoke taint impact on the vineyards.
Sourced from the Castine Family vineyard in the southern end of the Watervale sub region of the Clare Valley. Machine harvested late Feb in chilly early morning temps to keep the fruit fresh and to avoid oxidization.
