Shut The Gate Wines team has been sourcing fruit out of the Limestone Coasts Wrattonbully vineyards for 10 years now and customers just love the light herbaceous notes found in the regions reds. Barbera can be quite heavy in the warmer climes of Australia however the cooler growing area of the South East of South Australia allows good varietal flavour development of this variety without heavy drying tannins. This vintage release has lovely red and blue fruit flavours and just light notes of thyme and basil. A perfect guest to a party of lighter pasta with maybe a little chili involved. Short to medium term cellaring 3-4 years.
